About Director
Shari Hill has overcome adversity in her own life and believes that it was due to the overwhelming amount of support she received from her friends and family. Shari earned her Bachelor degree in Political Science from Fort Hays State University in 2007. She has worked in the field of addiction for over 20 years. While attending Hutchinson Community College in the early 1990's, a classmate suggested that she come to work for a local substance abuse program. Although reluctant, Shari went to work for that company and developed a true compassion for the field. During the time that she worked for the company, she developed the skills necessary to really help her clients become successful. After completing her BA she went back to work for the same company working in the prison system as the Coordinator for a Therapeutic Community, later becoming the Director of a residential treatment center and several outpatient programs. Shari embraces the philosophy that overcoming lifes difficulties encompasses a desire to change, motivation and a healthy support system are essential elements in recovery. Shari believes that teaching people the true meaning of “right living” is her priority and challenges individuals to change self defeating behaviors by encouraging thought processes .
